I am trying to edit AVI videos on Final Cut Pro 5.

I have converted them to .MOV files and placed one of them into Final Cut Pro.

However, when I try to play the video in the sequence bar, it only gives me a blue background with the words "Unrendered" placed over it.

I know how to render videos, but my understanding is that editing them would become incredibly difficult.

Any ideas on how to be able to utilize Final Cut Pro on .AVI files would be much appreciated.
