Inferno runs on infiniteReality graphics more specifically not onyx. IR graphics use a different subsystem than V12 or MXE graphics on a Octane. discreet rights the software to use specific parts of workstations so it is hard to uses anything but the turnkey system. Even if you had the software it is hard to configure with knowledge of UNIX. they make it that way so you will have to buy the sgi system from them
